Combrink Nel & Associates Inc. As a University of Johannesburg Alumni, the Director and Founder, Combrink Nel, joined the legal sector in 2014. He was admitted as an Attorney in 2017 and obtained his Right of Appearance in the High Court.

Combrink Nel & Associates Inc was founded on the principles of integrity, transparency and servanthood. Road Accident Fund Claims

Is the road accident fund broke?

The Road Accident Fund has recorded a R3.2-billion surplus, for the period ending March 2021, said Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula, who described the surplus as ‘historic’. Daily Maverick, June 2021.

A claim against the Road Accident Fund can be instituted on behalf of a person who’s family bread winner passed away as a result of an accident and secondly, for personal injury (i.e. when you suffered serious injuries to your body and the injury has a effect on your income earning capacity).

The Heads of Damages that you can claim for are, financial loss of support, funeral costs, Past and Future Loss of Earnings, Past and Future Medical Expenses and General Damages. It is important to remember the general rule of prescription, which means that a you have 3 years to claim against the Road Accident Fund if you know who the person responsible for the accident is, and two years if you don’t know who the responsible person is.
